If your brand is a side hustle for now, or a full-time gig, or even a dream for the future, you’re in the right place.
When you don’t know where to start, JUMP into action with these three tips for laying some groundwork for taking action.
I get it, running a business is a lot of work. You may be wearing all of the hats, or delegating to some VAs or assistants while simultaneously casting vision AND writing blogs, editing REELS, coordinating with department heads, finalizing your copywriters drafts, sending that article to FORBES…whatever the TO-DO list holds, start here.

- Showcase your work:
This means the “proof is in the pudding”. Gather and show case studies, testimonials, reviews, screenshots of feedback, you answering your followers questions, you providing answers to their struggles and then showcasing what your client did with how you helped them. People online want, and furthermore, NEED to know that you are a real human; not just a brand behind a logo. People want to work with people. So, go ahead, and curate the content that goes behind the scenes of what you do, how you do it, what benefits and transformations are because of YOU being in the middle of it all. Let go of the fear of looking arrogant or “tooting your own horn” because at the end of the day, when people can’t know exactly what you do (the transformation) then they don’t know how to trust, know, or like you…or buy from you. And what better way to showcase than to offer a sneak peek of your offer. Today, ponder how to create a freebie snippet of your course, product, service, or membership.
2. Find your Tribe:
These are the people who are hungry for the content you love to geek out about; today, go join a Facebook group that talks all about your industry. Get to know the people. Get to know their journey, the similar hurdles, the victories. Join, join, join GROUPS! They are marvelous networking opportunities, growth, accountability, & friendships. The second aspect to finding your tribe is: Find Your Niche. These are the people you are seeking to find online. Perhaps your target audience hosts a podcast, or would write up an article of your business on their blog, or sample your product and showcase a video review for you other platform.
3. Show UP!
It’s not what you think I’m going to advise…this one is about BEING YOU more than anything. Show your voice, your likes, your dislikes, your struggles, your hurdles, your victories, how you recovered, how you made that courageous jump. When you show up, show yourself as YOU, not imitating trends just to “go viral”, but in a way that is so unique and genuine that people just can’t miss it. Be consistent! Be real. Gone are the days of formal videography edits of ‘interview style” sitting in one place with a backdrop. You can make a video in your home office with a ring light, your phone on a tripod, a script app, music, and some movement. Good lighting, positive energy, having a hook, a call-to-action, and just being fun and entertaining….these are the ingredients for showing up in 2021. People can’t know or buy from you if they don’t know where to find what you do and be nosy enough to binge on your content until they feel like taking action.
